thoughts go out to all involved. there is few crossings between truro and Redruth, I'm guessing just a complete accident

It's well discussed elsewhere on this forum how overgrown the trackside vegetation is, I do hope visibility at a crossing hasn't been impacted by overgrown vegetation.

The 1913 Penzance to Plymouth, left Camborne right time, but no report at Redruth or anywhere onwards.
The 2002 from Truro to Penzance was delayed 102 minutes at Truro.

Falmouth branchline services were also cancelled for the rest of the evening

Described internally as a 'non suspicious deliberate act'.

So I don't think we need be concerned about the state of the crossing.

There was an arrival from Falmouth at 1953, due to go out again at 2004 which was cancelled. No Falmouth trains have ran since.
The 1913 had been somewhere between Redruth and Truro for 2 and 1/2 hours, but it's not cancelled which suggests not involved.
The 2002 from Truro was held at Truro station for just under 2 hours,
There is a number of ECS services in the evenings that often don't show on RTT.

For the record the train involved was the 19:13 Penzance to Plymouth.

The sleeper will have been delayed as some of the crew usually travel down on one of the trains caught up in the disruption.
