Title: 8 carriage dmu that's a record?
Post by: Palfers on April 12, 2015, 21:37:32
Just travelled from liskeard to plymouth on an 8 carriage dmu well that must be a record down here or can anyone beat that? Could only use front 4 due to short platforms like menheniot. I was wondering if there is selective door opening like on hst sets

The only FGW DMUs with SDO are the class 180s.

For the rest of the FGW DMU fleet the only form of SDO is to physically lock shut the rear carriage(s) or for the guard to just open the local door (I.E. the one they are stood at).

So the poor guard would have to lock 8 sets of doors then!
