East Devon model rail shop releases ^steamy^ line of plastic figures, including doggers and nudists

An East Devon model railway company has raised some eyebrows in the collectible world by releasing some practically steamy miniatures.

Mini doggers, prostitutes Toms and nudists are all included in the new characters sold by Buffers Model Railways in Axminster.

Embraces, many too rude for The Echo to publish, have been created as part of a wide range designed to spruce up train boards to make them look realistic.

Owner Maria Husson, 50, said: "All sorts of people buy them, for private collections or demonstration tracks.

"Normally they'd hide the rude figures in a house with a red light in the window, but if it is just an adult audience they'd put them in view.

"People make out model railways are boring but they're really not."

Made by German firm Noch, the models, including bonking pigs, are priced at ^3 for one to ^16 for a set of six - but have already sold out after gaining attention online.

Buffers Model Railways had already won an endorsement from James May when it featured on his show Toy Stories.

The Top Gear host described the shop as "my kind of model shop, the community centre for distressed Railway Modellers".
