Quote Bricks thrown at Bristol to London train (http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/images/localworld/ugc-images/276268/Article/images/25798858/9274315-large.jpg) POLICE are investigating an attack on a Bristol to London train which saw bricks thrown from a footbridge. The incident happened as the 7.30pm Temple Meads to Paddington service was passing through Corsham in Wiltshire on Monday evening. Although the missiles narrowly missed the train's windscreen the cab was damaged and the service, which had been due to arrive in London at 9.14pm, instead had to be terminated at Swindon, with passengers getting on a later train. Driver Andrew Castle later posted a message on Twitter, saying it was not the first time a train had been attacked from the same bridge. He said: "I was lucky. It needs better security or closing." British Transport Police called on anyone with information about the incident to call them on 0800 405040 or text 61016, quoting incident reference number 384 of December 29.
