Does he still get a 5% discount on renewal as well, or are the vouchers instead of the discount.

Title: Re: Greater Anglia passenger photographs ^1,000-worth of train delay vouchers Post by: JayMac on January 02, 2015, 18:36:19 Just imagine how much FGW would've paid out to Thames Valley commuters if they had Delay Repay. You can see why they are resistant to it's introduction for the interim direct award franchise.
Although, to be fair, Void Days and Annual Discount are awarded automatically on renewal, Delay Repay requires Season Ticket holders to apply for compensation for every delay. That said, Delay Repay pays out whatever the reason, FGW's current Passenger Charter only covers delays within the industry's control. On balance I think that Delay Repay is more generous to the passenger and is more costly to the operator.
