Title: For "signalling problems" read "not back in place yet after engineering"? Post by: grahame on December 27, 2014, 06:49:15 Quote Cancellations to services between Fareham and Southampton Central Due to signalling problems between Fareham and Southampton Central trains have to run at reduced speed on the line. Impact: Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or diverted between Romsey and Fareham. Southampton Central will not be served. Disruption is expected until 08:00 29/12. Customer Advice: South West Trains will accept valid First Great Western tickets between Eastleigh and Southampton Central until further notice. Amended trains Quote expand 06:43 Westbury to Portsmouth Harbour due 08:52 expand 07:22 Bristol Temple Meads to Portsmouth Harbour due 09:52 expand 07:23 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central due 10:45 expand 07:30 Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour due 10:52 expand 08:23 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central due 11:44 expand 08:30 Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour due 11:52 expand 09:00 Brighton to Great Malvern due 14:32 expand 09:23 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central due 12:43 expand 09:30 Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour due 12:52 expand 10:00 Penzance to London Paddington due 15:56 expand 10:23 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central due 13:43 expand 10:30 Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour due 13:52 Looks line everything diverted via Eastleigh, with SWT's "Romsey 6" service withdrawn (between Eastleigh and Salisbury at least) and the Cardiff Portsmouth picking up the stops. A typical expansion: Quote 07:30 Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour due 10:52 This train will be delayed between Romsey and Fareham and is expected to be 4 minutes late. This train will be diverted between Romsey and Fareham. This train will call additionally at Dean, Mottisfont & Dunbridge, Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh. This train will no longer call at Southampton Central. This is due to signalling problems. Title: Re: For "signalling problems" read "not back in place yet after engineering"? Post by: phile on December 27, 2014, 12:31:25 Nice to see FGW trains calling at FGW stations. Stations served by SWT but managed by FGW due to the train service patterns changing and the SWT Romsey shuttle taking over.
