Arriva Trains Wales services between Machynlleth and Shrewsbury were suspended and the A487 Dyfi Bridge was shut between Ffordd Mynydd Griffiths and A493. Natural Resources Wales (NRW) had a number flood alerts and one flood warning in place. A Met Office yellow alert for rain has now been lifted. Forecasters say Friday should see drier and colder weather move in after two days of heavy rain over higher ground. Arriva Trains Wales says journeys to Machynlleth from Shrewsbury have resumed, but are still facing delays of about 20 minutes.
