http://www.quizfreak.co.uk/can-you-name-these-14-london-underground-stations/ (Crumbs, I hope this works! :-[) Edited by Brucey to fix the link Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: Brucey on December 14, 2014, 21:20:21 (Crumbs, I hope this works! :-[) It didn't work, but easily fixed :)My score is 11 out of 14. Not too bad for an ex-Londoner. Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: ellendune on December 14, 2014, 21:25:59 Thanks. I managed 12 out of 14. Never lived or work based in London, but seem to go there often enough for work.

Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: plymothian on December 14, 2014, 21:33:09 Well that was easy.
Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: rogerw on December 14, 2014, 21:39:41 Full marks for me as well ;D
Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: Electric train on December 14, 2014, 21:41:54 14 out of 14 ;D

Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: Cynthia on December 14, 2014, 22:01:05 I am not prepared to embarrass myself publically by admitting my puny score!
Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: Red Squirrel on December 14, 2014, 22:15:39 11/14. Lucky at that, I'd say.
Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: johoare on December 14, 2014, 22:34:33 Tube ace for me too though I've always worked in London so that helped
Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: Oxonhutch on December 15, 2014, 09:18:48 "Tube Ace". I must get out more :)
Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: eightf48544 on December 15, 2014, 10:04:50 Same here.
Although I think the answer to 8 should be Regents Prak they announce change there for buses to ZSL on the Bakerloo. Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: TeaStew on December 15, 2014, 10:59:24 I got 10/14. I tend to only travel on the pink yellow and black lines maybe once or twice a year at most so not bad! Being designated navigator probably helped a lot.
Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: trainer on December 15, 2014, 11:35:24 13/14. Question 2 failure. But I am, allegedly, still 'ace'. That's nice. ::)

Although I think the answer to 8 should be Regents Prak they announce change there for buses to ZSL on the Bakerloo. Camden Town is the closest tube station geographically. My mind modified the question to "Partner fancies Fancy a bit of shopping in Harrods? Which of these would be a good station to jump off at?" Offerings: South Kensington, Green Park, Osterley ... with the correct answer being "Osterley" Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: Surrey 455 on December 15, 2014, 22:54:22 Quote Fancy a bit of shopping in Harrods? Offerings: South Kensington, Green Park, Osterley ... with the correct answer being "Osterley" I seem to recall that Harrods warehouse was indeed in Osterley. I'm sure they've moved out now. Didn't Sky tv move in? Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: didcotdean on December 16, 2014, 00:11:40 Sky started out opposite Harrods warehouse but they have expanded all over that area now having bought the site a few years ago.
BSB by contrast started off opposite Harrods itself in Knightsbridge. Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: Cynthia on December 16, 2014, 08:45:59 Seems like this quiz wasn't difficult enough to test our Forum and rail users! I have an idea brewing for something much more challenging, but it'll have to wait until the new year now.

A tube question of my own: What is unique about St Johns Wood amongst all the names of tube stations? (And it is daft) Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: grahame on December 18, 2014, 17:00:03 What is unique about St Johns Wood amongst all the names of tube stations? You've been fishing around for that question, I guess ;D Title: Re: Underground Stations Quiz Post by: Western Pathfinder on December 18, 2014, 17:51:09 If the answer is what I think it is I have to say I prefer mine smoked !
