Title: Christmas Train Times Post by: grahame on November 26, 2014, 06:19:11 From First Great Western ...
Quote Christmas Eve Timings of trains will start to change from 1700 across the network, and from 1500 in the London and Thames Valley area. The last train will leave Paddington before 2130. Christmas Day and Boxing Day No scheduled train services. 27 December Local services into London will start from around 1100 because of work in the Hayes and Harlington area, and long distance services into and out of London will be limited. We are advising customers to use other routes where possible, or to travel after 1100. Tickets will be valid on other routes. 27 December - 4 January A reduced timetable will operate and diversions will be in place. Journey times may take longer than normal. We have set out the changes in detail for each route on our website on www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/Christmas2014 Title: Re: Christmas Train Times Post by: TaplowGreen on November 26, 2014, 09:39:33 -as someone who works/commutes between Christmas and New Year, hopes of any sort of decent service are rarely high (especially on the 27th/28th), so I will sit on the platform with my hangover & leftover turkey sandwich and hope for the best!
Title: Re: Christmas Train Times Post by: bobm on November 26, 2014, 11:10:10 Hopefully as the 27th and 28th are a weekend things will be better by the Monday.
I'm travelling that day and because of diversions I have a better and more convenient service between my destinations than I normally would. Title: Re: Christmas Train Times Post by: NickB on November 26, 2014, 11:44:37 A fiver says they are 3 car turbos ;D
