Quote 102-year-old Cardiff railway bridge to be replaced (http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/79252000/jpg/_79252823_windsorbridge.jpg) Network Rail Wales says the bridge must be replaced with a larger and stronger crossing A busy 102-year-old railway bridge in Cardiff will be shut for more than a year so it can be rebuilt. Windsor Road bridge, which connects Adamsdown with Splott and is on the south Wales main line, will be closed from January 2015 to spring 2016. Although as our house was within the catchment area of the local comprehensive school for Spoltt, it certainly occurred to the family to apply for a different school given the socio-economic demographic of its intake.
