Title: Folk Music Train - 14th December 2014
Post by: grahame on November 25, 2014, 13:43:20
The 17:20 from Westbury to Swindon, and 18:24 return service, will be joined by Emily and Angeline (Jones and Morrison) and we have a folk train ... Sunday 14th December.   Music, minced pie and soft drink, and travel - all for ^10.

It's going to be a busy day on the TransWilts - Celebration of a year of the new services on the 10:32, Santa meeting the 13:15 and 16:15, Folk music on the 17:20 ... now what about the 18:50 and 19:40  ;)

oooh, they're good.

Can't decide until next Sunday at the earliest, but I'd like to be there.

I was wondering what sort of "Folk Train" was illustrated - just plain heritage, acoustic (whatever that might be), 60s and 70 cheap British horror, or what? Somehow ethereal doesn't sound at all right.

The illustration dates from 1985 and just happened to be one I had the copyright to (it's the ceremonial first service out of a post-Beeching reopened Melksham station)
