Title: Where was I that day? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on October 18, 2014, 21:10:00 I know my colleague 'bignosemac' really enjoys his research on these occasional questions ... so where was I being delayed, on that particular day? ;)

Title: Re: Where was I that day? Post by: JayMac on October 22, 2014, 21:14:33 We're on or near the Wrington Vale Light Railway again, aren't we? :P
To the left of the picture would have been the end of the short spur to Blagdon Lake. Title: Re: Where was I that day? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on October 22, 2014, 22:32:43 Chew valley lake? You were not oceans away with that suggestion, Timmer. ;) We're on or near the Wrington Vale Light Railway again, aren't we? :P We are (or were) indeed. ;D That is the view northwards along the dam built to create Blagdon Lake (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blagdon_Lake) in the 1890s. Directly behind me was the terminus station of the Wrington Vale Light Railway - now a charming private residence, as featured on the front cover of 'Somerset Stations, Then and Now', by Mike Oakley (ISBN 978-1-904-34994-5) Title: Re: Where was I that day?
