Quote A woman has died after being hit by a train in Swansea A woman has died today after being hit by a train in Swansea. The incident took place before 1pm on Thursday October 2 and is now causing delays between Swansea and Llanelli on the Shrewsbury to Carmarthen and Cardiff Central lines. A spokesman for British Transport Police said: ^Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from South Wales Police and Welsh Ambulance Service and a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.The incident is not being treated as suspicious. Officers are now working to establish the woman^s identity and notify her family. A file will be prepared for the coroner.^ A statement from National Rail said: "A person has been hit by a train near Swansea, this is causing delays of up to 60 minutes to trains between Llanelli and Swansea. There is no firm estimate yet of how long disruption will last but it is likely to continue until at least 4pm."
