DRS were at Temple Meads the other day for the launch of their new "Seagull" brand and mascot.

I'm not entirely convinced about the modification of the loco to ac electric either. Suspect the new style pantograph may have a problem in headspan areas.

That's not a pantograph. It's the extendable support for a high definition camera. What you are looking at is the prototype for Google's RailView vehicle.

It could easily take a tern for the worse...

It would give you a bird's eye view, by chance?

It didn't take an eagle eye to spot the gull. I'm told they tried to shoo it away by shouting at it. Either it ignored the shouts or was hard of herring.

Oh, and perhaps that's a crane in the background.

Was the crane from Sparrows again, by chance? I feel a right tit with these jokes. (On good days, I get to feel the left one too. Apologies in advance for that.)

By remarkable co-incidence, I imbibed today at the Trout in Bickleigh, Devon. Other licenced premises are available, but I recommend this one. And others on request.

Oh, for cod's sake...
