Title: Reading Festival in 2 minutes - time lapse video from First Great Western
Post by: Chris from Nailsea on September 02, 2014, 10:28:03
From the First Great Western press release:

Quote
Reading Festival in 2 minutes

Watch the entire Reading Festival (http://youtu.be/iV5Ho7jnH9E) in two minutes from timelapse footage taken from First Great Western's train care depot at Reading.

The FGW footage shows revellers enjoying each and every day at the main stage of the festival, before late night and early morning cleaning teams prepare for the next day's music.

Over 43,000 people travelled to the festival by train, newly published figures from First Great Western reveal. The train operator provided additional trains to take people home after the festival ended on Sunday evening.

Thanks CfN - being an old git I preferred watching that more than I would have done seeing the real thing :)

Also interested to see the videos of the Summertracks performances onboard that are on the same youtube site. A really neat idea, and shows great innovation.

Having done a fair bit of festival litter picking myself, I have to say - I wish it was all that quick and easy...
