Title: Open return at peak times Post by: argg on August 03, 2014, 12:55:06 A quick query
I am looking to purchase an open return from Wokingham to Winchester via Reading (out 7 Aug return 11 Aug) The outward journey is (ideally) to start during the peak period. Using TheTrainLine.com I cannot see an option to purchase an open return for an outward journey starting before 09.00 Is this true. Is my only option to buy two singles? What am I missing? Thanks for any help in advance James Title: Re: Open return at peak times Post by: JayMac on August 03, 2014, 13:03:58 There is indeed no open return (officially called an Anytime Return - valid for return within 1 month) between Wokingham and Winchester.
You will need the 2x Anytime Day Singles. Alternatively you could look at the availability of CrossCountry Advance Purchase tickets between Reading and Winchester for the times you wish to travel and then add Anytime Day Singles for Wokingham-Reading and Reading-Wokingham. Just remember to allow the minimum connection time of 7 minutes at Reading. Title: Re: Open return at peak times Post by: SDS on August 03, 2014, 19:47:45 Apologies in advance for size and caps.
DO NOT USE TRAINLINE.COM They rip you off and charge credit card and booking fees. Book it through any of the other tocs and no fees. Also book through a first toc and get nectar points.
