Title: One of our buses is missing Post by: JayMac on April 09, 2014, 21:21:52 I was at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway, earlier today. After doing what I needed to do I proceeded to the bus station to catch my service 40 back to Lawrence Weston.
The 1400 didn't turn up. Neither did the 1420. The 1440 was 10 minutes late. So I tweeted @FirstBSA (that's the official First Bus account for the Bristol, Somerset and former Avon areas). Response I got was: "Our control office have informed us they are running to schedule, if not a few mins behind. One is missing though" 140 characters requires one to be succinct, but to say one of your buses is missing raises more questions than it answers. I mean, how does one mislay a bus?!? https://twitter.com/FirstBSA/status/453891502109114368 Title: Re: One of our buses is missing Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 09, 2014, 21:41:15 Maybe it fell down a drain ... http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=13654.0 ;)
Title: Re: One of our buses is missing Post by: LiskeardRich on April 09, 2014, 22:18:41 Surely 2 are missing if the 1400 & 1420 failed to show.
I'm not quite sure how you lose a bus though, Title: Re: One of our buses is missing Post by: JayMac on April 09, 2014, 22:32:32 Subsequently learnt that what should have been the 1400 from Cribbs was running very late due to the other 'missing bus' on the route, so it was turned round before reaching Cribbs.
Still don't know the reason for one of the buses on route 40 going missing though. ::) This page is printed from the "Coffee Shop" forum at http://gwr.passenger.chat which is provided by a customer of Great Western Railway.
