Title: Where was I yesterday?
Post by: JayMac on April 03, 2014, 00:09:10
It's past midnight as I post so I can't really name this teaser as a 'Where was I today'.

There's a station in this picture, but I'd also like the location from where the picture was taken:

That would be The Imperial, a Wetherspoons public house in Exeter?

Blimey, Oxman - that was a quick spot!  ;) :D ;D

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch there a couple of months ago. Well worth a visit.

Wow. That was a quick answer, Oxman :o ;) :P

Confirmed by Chris from Nailsea.

Correct. Photo taken from the garden of The Imperial (Wetherspoons), St Davids Hill, Exeter, looking towards Exeter St Davids station.

Possibly the grandest Wetherspoons in the country. The Orangery is a fascinating piece of architecture. Reputedly based on a design by my engineering hero, Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
