Title: Virgin trains
Post by: Jason on February 12, 2014, 18:40:16
It looks like most of the Virgin network is grinding to a halt.

North of Preston is suspended.

@VirginTrains: UPDATE: We are advising all customers not to attempt to travel. Customers already on services will be taken to the nearest station.

@VirginTrains: All services out of London Euston are suspended until further notice due to adverse weather. #UKStorm

Crewe station and Manchester airport station closed due to damage/safety issues.

Is there a precedent to this?

@VirginTrains: NEW: ALL CUSTOMERS TO ABANDON TRAVEL #UKSTORM

Pretty straight to the point. No spin and mincing of words there. Services now running between Euston and Birmingham only on WCML.

I'm sure people would have been comfy enough in their beds to sleep that extra bit longer!
