Title: FIRST GREAT WESTERN SERIES FOR C5
Post by: alice1990 on February 12, 2014, 16:17:28
Hi everybody.

I am currently working on a series for Channel 5 called First Great Western. It is a second series of an observational documentary following the daily lives of all the First Great Western teams and its customers. If anyone is planning on travelling say from Swansea to London or from Plymouth to Paddington this weekend for half term please get in touch we'd love to film with you and see how your journey fares due to the current weather conditions and problems on the track. It would be great if there was a real reason why you HAVE to catch the train to give the story a real sense of urgency.

Are you going to be filming on the replacement bus services between Plymouth and Exeter, alice1990? No one can take a train throughout from Plymouth to Paddington for the forseeable future.  :P ;D

Hello, alice1990, and a very warm welcome to the Great Western Coffee Shop forum!  :D

As my colleague has posted above, we regretfully have to say that your timing is ... err, rather unfortunate.  ::)

Anyone who was planning to travel directly between the locations you mention because they really do need to do so will probably have already made alternative arrangements by now, if they really do have to travel this weekend.

Nevertheless, we obviously wish you well in your series.

Regards, Chris from Nailsea.  ;)

Sounds to me like they are well aware of the problems, hence why they want to film what an actual journey is like? ???
