Title: Signalling Problems Maidenhead - 05 Feb 14 Post by: bobm on February 05, 2014, 09:26:33 As if the problems in the South West were not enough, there have been severe signalling problems in the Maidenhead area.
Despite working through the night the problem has not been solved and the service has been thinned out to minimise delays to the trains that do run Paddington/Cardiff Central cancelled in both directions Paddington/Oxford fast services cancelled in both directions Stopping services from Oxford to Paddington run fast from Maidenhead to London Paddington/Worcester/Hereford services run as planned Paddington/Bedwyn services start from/terminate at Reading :00 Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads cancelled :00 Bristol Temple Meads to Paddington cancelled Paddington/Cheltenham Spa start from/terminate at Swindon Title: Re: Signalling Problems Maidenhead - 05 Feb 14 Post by: Jason on February 05, 2014, 09:35:23 The estimation of the delays on the websites have been woefully optimistic. It has been showing as an 'up to 30 minute' delay throughout.
The service I just arrived at Paddington was 50 minutes late and looking at other services this is on the lower side of the range of delays. Title: Re: Signalling Problems Maidenhead - 05 Feb 14 Post by: johoare on February 05, 2014, 23:34:30 It was interesting this morning.. I've seen worse.. The departure boards were not always keeping up but the staff made up for the rest (tho even they were sometimes working on out of date info).. I got into Paddington half hour and a bit late.. So not too bad really.
