Title: Man's body found at Millbrook Station - 12 January 2014 Post by: Chris from Nailsea on January 12, 2014, 16:29:33 From the Southern Daily Echo (http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10931268._/?):
Quote Heavy police presence at Millbrook railway station after discovery of a man's body this morning (http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/resources/images/2813913.jpg?type=articleLandscape) Several police vehicles and an ambulance are currently at a Hampshire railway station following the discovery of a man's body this morning. Officers have shut the station to members of the public and have cordoned off the footbridge leading to it crossing Millbrook Road West. (http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/resources/images/2813912.jpg?type=articleLandscape) Hampshire police have told the Daily Echo the body is that of a man. It is understood to be inside the station perimeter. They say they are currently treating the death as 'unexplained' while initial inquiries are carried out. Specialist scens of crime officers are due at the scene imminently to begin a full forensic examination. There are police officers from Hampshire Constabulary and British Transport Police on the scene, including two vans, three police cars and an ambulance. (http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/resources/images/2813941.jpg?type=articleLandscape) The entire footbridge is closed and there are officers also standing guard on the bridge crossing the train tracks. A man thought to be a plained clothed police officer has just arrived carrying what appears to be a large piece of tarpaulin into the scene. It appears the discovery was made on the inside area of the railway station, away from the main road and near to a large gated fence. More to follow.
