Title: Season Ticket Stock Post by: Fourbee on November 06, 2013, 15:59:02 Are all season tickets now issued on orange ticket stock?
I may be showing my age now, but didn't there used to be green for weekly, grey for monthly+ and the special gold card design for NSE? Title: Re: Season Ticket Stock Post by: Brucey on November 06, 2013, 19:59:16 Yes, the different stocks are gradually being replaced with orange stock. The advantage being that nothing is pre-printed on the ticket.
The only exception is Gold Cards in the former NSE area which still remain on their own stock. I've noticed Southern and London Midland's websites send blue stock (and pre-printed blue Travelcards) for odd period tickets still, but not monthly. I was on a train a while ago where a young lady whose first, or indeed second, language was clearly not English was trying to explain very animatedly to the Conductor that she did have a ticket. He was remarkably patient, spending most of the ten-minute journey between Nailsea & Backwell and Bristol Temple Meads trying to get her to understand that what she was clutching was not actually a valid ticket. She had one of these: (http://imageshack.com/scaled/thumb320x240/853/fu62.jpg) ::) ;D Title: Re: Season Ticket Stock Post by: Fourbee on November 07, 2013, 23:48:55 void is a valid return type in some languages... anyway... :)
I asked at a SWT ticket office today about application forms for season tickets of 1 month+ (must have it on the brain). Apparently, they (SWT) will ask a few questions and then issue the ticket without the need for paperwork. Does anyone know FGW's position on this?
