Title: Derailment at Farringdon Underground Station (02/11/2013) Post by: Brucey on November 02, 2013, 10:13:34 I am seeing on Twitter that the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines are part suspended due to a derailed train at Farringdon on the sub-surface lines (SSL).
Does anyone have any more details about this incident, such as the severity and how LUL plan on re-railing (is that a word?) the train? Title: Re: Derailment at Farringdon Underground Station (02/11/2013) Post by: Chris from Nailsea on November 02, 2013, 10:25:54 From JourneyCheck:
Quote Circle Line: No service anticlockwise while we deal with a derailment of an empty train at Farringdon depot. LU have a permanently manned Emergency Response Unit (ERU), they have the equipment to re-rail a train that has suffered this sort of incident. I was surprised to hear recently, that they also attend incidents in specific areas of the big railway, it was LU's ERU that put the derailed SWT unit back on the rails at Clapham Yard a few days ago. I think a minor derailment is usually solved with a few heavy duty hydraulic jacks and similar stuff...
