David Humphreys, from Ellesmere in Cheshire, died while working as a trolley steward on the Arriva Trains Wales service from Milford Haven in South Wales to Manchester Piccadilly. It is thought that Mr Humphreys was found by the train conductor. A spokesman for British Transport Police said Ambulance crews were called to Crewe station just before lunchtime on Tuesday. The man's family had been informed, but the cause of death is not yet known. Tributes have been left on social networking sites, with one colleague writing: "Such sad news on the railway today. Dave you had a heart of gold and didn't have a bad bone in your body. You will be missed by all."
