Title: Much more expensive for me in the south?
Post by: grahame on September 10, 2013, 16:31:52
I'm looking at some longer distance journeys, off peak, this autumn.

15th September to 16th November - First TransPennine
http://www.tpexpress.co.uk/campaigns/club-55/
Example fare ... Edinburgh to Manchester, 28 pounds return,  217 miles each way

1st September to 30th November - First ScotRail
http://www.scotrail.co.uk/club-55
Example fare ... Edinburgh to Thurso, 19 pounds return, 263 miles each way

No date limits - First Great Western
Example fare ... London to Plymouth, from 89  pounds return, 238 miles each way
Have I missed something cheaper?
