Title: Signalling in Cornwall
Post by: FarWestJohn on September 05, 2013, 17:35:56
I was most impressed with the speedy route setting at Truro on Tuesday afternoon.

The bay platform semaphore starter was pulled and showing green before the incoming Falmouth train was stationary in the bay.

I do not think automatic route setting can be much quicker than this.

Indeed, there's precious little time at Truro to waste, so clearing the signals for the departure immediatley the train is occupying the Basy is common practice.
