Title: SWT TVMS get a new screen design Post by: stuving on August 24, 2013, 19:59:06 Today I was confronted with a new screen design at Wokingham's TVMs. Not just a colour change, like the difference with FGW ones, but a new design altogether. It has larger text, which will help some, though the lower contrast works the other way. One side effect is that you now do not get all the cards offered on one screen, so the Senior card needs an extra press.
At the same time two minor changes were made to the printing on the tickets: the card ID is in larger letters, and we now have the restriction code next to the word "validity". Is this new, or already happening elsewhere? Some of the letters are so small (made worse when theres sunlight especially on shoppenhangers road) that if you accidentally hit the wrong ticket selection, with your card in, then it has the habit of paying for the ticket 4 times. Also i don't know if you have the function at Wokingham for cash but at Maidenhead/Slough and Windsor from my experience only cards are allowed. Also the valiability of ticket machines is another issue but thats another story... Is this new, or already happening elsewhere? Restriction codes on tickets is being phased in nationally, but I think SWT are relatively late to do it. I remember seeing one on an FCC ticket bought from Cambridge some time last autumn, maybe even in September...
