Title: HST Problem - Friday 16th August 2013.
Post by: CLPGMS on August 17, 2013, 09:23:17
Has anyone any details of what happened to the 2059 WOF-PAD?  From what I saw on the internet, it terminated at 2202 at Kingham due to train failure.  It appears to have still been stuck there at midnight.

The following 2151 HFD-PAD was unable to get beyond Moreton-in-Marsh, where it also terminated.  FGW JourneyCheck reported that road transport was being resourced for this train, but did not mention road transport for passengers who were on the stranded 2059.

Fortunately, at that time in the evening, it is likely that both trains would have been very lightly populated.

Similar problem to that which beset the (slightly busier) Penzance to Paddington train near Pewsey the other weekend I believe!
