Title: The Sound of Things to Come?
Post by: trainer on July 03, 2013, 21:27:15
BBC News reports an innovation that may send shivers down the spine and through the head.

I can't quote the whole item, but German trains and Sky Deutchland are experimenting with sending audio advertising through train windows.  As you doze off after a hard day's work (or roving and ranging) and rest against the window, advertisers send their messages straight to your head.  :o

No plans for UK...so far!

I am hard of hearing and bought a Panasonic phone with this technology whereby you hold the receiver to your head somewhere near your ear. It was totally useless so unless it is significantly improved I can't see it being very successful.

I would have thought the music of the 'March' from 'Things to Come' by Sir Arthur Bliss would be a most appropriate way of announcing an advert was on its way to yer lug'oles....
