Title: Tonights 17.44 Paddington to Maidenhead (Sunday 16/12/07)
Post by: johoare on December 16, 2007, 22:05:43
This train pulled out of Paddington, travelled a mile or so, and then had to be taken back into Paddington again as there was some problem with the train..

There are two reasons I am mentioning this...

1. There was at least two people on the train (I was not pleased with their behaviour!) who were a little rude to the FGW member of staff who told us (in person) what was happening.. Now this is the first time I have ever seen anyone be rude to a member of staff... I think regular commuters are willing to take whatever is thrown at them (in my opinion!!)..

2. When we got back to Paddington, the only information given (at least there was some I guess) was for everyone to get on the slow 18.15 stop everywhere departure, whereas the 18.22 faster train which stopped at Slough and Maidenhead would have been a much more sensible option for the people wanting to go to one of those places..  I got the 18.22 as I already knew it existed....

I had a nice big cup of tea and was on the fast train (eventually), so I wasn't too bothered...
