Title: Ticket rejected by barrier
Post by: inspector_blakey on February 03, 2013, 17:22:51
Not a huge issue, just a bit puzzled and wondering if anyone has any ideas!

My Anytime Day Single Woking - London Terminals, with Network Railcard discount, was rejected by the barrier at Waterloo yesterday with error code 135: "TOC special rules apply". Definitely not an error with the encoding on the ticket as it worked fine at Woking, and in any case dodgy encoding will bring up error 09.

Can't give you a definite answer, but it is possible staff were doing extra checks, when you went through did staff ask to see railcard?

TOC has applied a special rule where they are checking railcard tickets.

Looks like no-one told the barrier staff if that was the case - waved straight through by the RPI without any request to see the railcard.
