Title: Another day of woe. 29/11/2012 Post by: tramway on November 29, 2012, 16:15:55 I'm not sure whether this should sit here but todays incidents directly affected journeys from Trowbridge.
Fortunately there would appear to little direct impact on the Pompey Cardiff route from the weather, although clearly there have been knock on effects to services through Trowbridge not least the recent landslip at Westerleigh, which is clearly a bit of a headache at the moment. I understand the slip was further compounded earlier today with a points failure in the Parkway area this morning causing some delays and stranding a train in the tunnel, unfortunately I don't have any specifics on this particular event, but opted to delay my journey to Filton due to the reports. When everything appeared to be getting back to normal further attempts to get to Bristol were thwarted by a HST failure at Bath, which took approx an hour to clear, and as reported by the guard additional signalling/points problems at Bathampton Junction, again I have no official evidence to support that problem either at the moment, perhaps others have better insight than me. Anyway my sympathies to both travellers at the moment and staff trying their very best to get them to their destinations under very trying conditions.
