Evening all.

It's been almost 4 months since my last public forum post, for which my apologies! To cut a long story short, those months have been incredibly busy: I've jacked in my old job, moved from the USA back to the UK and started an entirely new career here.

Co-incidentally or otherwise, that new career is on the railways. Those of you who know me personally will be aware of the company that I now work for and the area where I'm based. In order to retain at least a degree of anonymity I'm not going to name my employer or precise location in public, but what I will say is that I definitely don't work for FGW: it's not core FGW territory and there's a silly extra rail lying around on the ground that's electrified at 750 V dc.

What this does mean is that I'll need to be a little more careful about what I say, but hopefully I'll be back as a regular poster from now on...
