Title: Do the taxi drivers in Slough secretly write the late night timetable? Post by: johoare on December 07, 2007, 20:32:34 Just a thought after last nights journey home..
I arrived at Paddington at 23.50 (after slight travel trouble) for a train back to Maidenhead. I had just missed one, so was faced with a half hour wait for a fast (first stop) Slough train, or a 44 minute wait for a very slow stopper... So I, along with many other people, went to Slough and went the rest of the way via taxis... Which is why I thought I'd ask this rather tongue in cheek question.. The Slough taxi drivers must really benefit from the lack of trains late at night...! Title: Re: Do the taxi drivers in Slough secretly write the late night timetable? I don't know aboout the Slough ones, but there were certainly some celebrations in our part of the world in the cabbie fraternity when a number of useful trains ceased to run this time last year. :-\ This page is printed from the "Coffee Shop" forum at http://gwr.passenger.chat which is provided by a customer of Great Western Railway.
