There was a wire or cable hanging from a signal gantry in the West Drayton area. Network Rail have closed the down relief and up main lines, originally to inspect, but now presumably to fix the problem.

Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 15 mins at short notice. Disruption is expected until 16:00 03/11. Two out of the four running lines in the West Drayton area are closed as a result of this emergency engineering work. In order to provide a service with the least disruption for our customers it has proved necessary to reduce the number of train movements through the affected area which may result in extended journey times.
