Title: Southern Railway Rainy Day Money Back Post by: thetrout on September 28, 2012, 20:57:01 I booked some tickets for travel on Southern Railway's WebTIS booking site. They are 1st Advance for travel partly on Southern and partly on another TOC. Their website clearly states that you can request a 100% refund with no booking fee including Southern Trains Advance Tickets.
It is clear in that it is just Southern Advance Tickets - But not overly clear as to whether journeys partly made on Southern Trains counts? Does anyone know if they do. To be honest I am not too concerned if I lose the funds. It would be well worth the expense for not having to do the job they were booked for. I don't particularly fancy traveling the distance to basically tell the office manager that I can't repair their computers because they're managed by another company and leave again ::) Gah... Politics! Title: Re: Southern Railway Rainy Day Money Back Post by: Brucey on September 30, 2012, 12:43:37 They appear to have now renamed the promotion as the Money Back Guarantee. The terms state " Southern Advance (Advance tickets for travel on Southern trains only)". So I would assume other advance fares (e.g. "SOUTHERN & AGA") are no included.

Other rail companies also provide cashback through topcashback etc but not to the same degree as southern, plus as normal no fees and it applies to all journeys regardless of operator (I got cashback from a temple meads to paddington advance ticket). Won't spam the board with my referral link, but if you want to sign up let me know and I will provide a link, then I can get a free tenner!
