Quote THE man killed after being struck by a train on the outskirts of Thurso was a 33-year-old from Bristol. He died instantly after being run over by a train on the outskirts of Thurso on Friday afternoon. A spokesman for British Transport Police said that due to the non-suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, it would not be releasing his name. ^There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the man who was struck by the train and a full report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal,^ he said. The incident took place on the sweeping bend before Thurso station. After the impact, the two-carriage Inverness-bound Sprinter ground to a halt about 100 metres down the line. The line was closed for four hours after the tragedy. Not seen that BTP policy before of not naming the person involved because it was non-suspicious.
