Title: Person hit by train at Worle (02/09) Post by: stationstop on September 02, 2012, 20:54:59 There has unfortunately been a person hit by a train this evening at Worle. Train involved was the 19:30 off Bristol Temple Meads to Leeds.
Title: Re: Person hit by train at Worle (02/09) Post by: JayMac on September 02, 2012, 21:05:06 CrossCountry were mistakenly reporting this as a fatality, but Network Rail are saying the person is alive and has been taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

The woman, aged 34 and from Worle, was treated by paramedics on the line at about 7.15pm, where she was found conscious and breathing. She suffered several trauma injuries, including to her head, and was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol. Officers from the BTP are currently trying to establish the woman^s identity to inform her family. The train involved was the 3.30pm Penzance to Leeds service.
