Title: Strange cancellation
Post by: bobm on August 23, 2012, 22:41:45
From Journeycheck
Quote
21:51 Hereford to London Paddington due 01:17 This train will be terminated at Reading at 00:38.
This train will no longer call at Slough and London Paddington.
This is due to a member of train crew being unavailable.

Seems a bit odd - do they normally do a crew change at Reading?  Or have they persuaded an Oxford man/woman to stay on to Reading to maintain connections?

I believe a lot of the Cotswold trains are worked by Reading guards, so perhaps a guard change is booked at Reading and there is no new one to take over.
