Title: Levelling Crossing Incident - Bradford-on-Avon Post by: thetrout on August 10, 2012, 19:36:46 Some sort of incident at Bradford-on-Avon Level Crossing today. Not sure when it started as there were quite a few late trains leaving Trowbridge both towards Bath Spa and Westbury at around 18:00
I was on the 19:02 TRO - BRI and looked out the window going over the crossing and Police were in attendance and had closed the road. Network Rail were also in attendance. I'm wondering if it only "just" happened if it was the freight train that ran through just before 19:00 as the Signal on Platform 1 remained at Caution (Single Yellow) for quite some time and we also sat at the Level Crossing Signal for about 5 mins or so :( As always, Hope it's nothing too serious :-X Title: Re: Levelling Crossing Incident - Bradford-on-Avon Post by: JayMac on August 10, 2012, 20:03:17 Apparently a barrier failed at the crossing. I would assume police are there to direct road traffic safely and Network rail to repair and test.
