From the British Transport Police press release (http://www.btp.presscentre.com/Media-Releases/British-Transport-Police-appeal-for-information-after-train-manager-assaulted-Moreton-in-Marsh-1a8c.aspx):

British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for the public^s help to identify a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault on a member of rail staff.

Officers have today released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident which took place at Moreton-in-Marsh railway station at about 8.45pm on Saturday, 28 April 2012.

Investigating officer, PC Alan Fishpool, said: ^The train manager on board the 2002hrs Worcester Shrub Hill to London Paddington service was standing on the platform at Moreton-in-Marsh rail station when a passenger who had been on the train started verbally abusing him before throwing punches at him.

^The train manager managed to avoid most of the man^s blows, although he was struck on the shoulder. The passenger, who appeared to be in drink, had also come to the train manager^s attention earlier in the journey when he attempted to alight from the train at Honeybourne station while it was still in motion.

^Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man who assaulted the train manager. I am now appealing for anyone who knows the man in these CTV images to contact BTP, as I believe he will have information which can assist the investigation.^

Anyone who knows the man^s identity, or his current whereabouts, is urged to contact British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.  In all calls, please quote incident reference B3/WWA of 21/05/2012.

I've noticed these BTP press releases regularly seem to be riddled with mistakes.

'In drink' is a rather quaint phrase to describe someone who is drunk, sozzled, inebriated, potted, soused or intoxicated. But not a mistake.

Well you learn something new everyday. I had 'Googled' it, on the off chance it was a phrase, but didn't seem to get any sensible result that implied that. My apologies.
