Did you witness altercation on train? British Transport Police appeal for information after incident in Devon

British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for information following an incident on board a train between Totnes and Plymouth on Monday 16 April 2012.

Officers were alerted shortly before 9pm following a report of a male passenger, in his fifties, becoming abusive towards a female passenger on board First Great Western^s 1803hrs London Paddington ^ Penzance service.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information which they believe could assist the police investigation, is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

In all calls, please quote incident reference 585 of 16/04/2012.
