Well, I knew it wasn't AFK, and the 'design' left STP, EBD, SFA. Because, the picture had wooden sleepers, I was inclined to go with EBD and SFA (Although couldn't think which one). I wasn't expecting it to be STP. :(

It was only two days ago that I took the picture. I'm feeling charitable as you've made a bit of a chump of yourself - go on have a guess at another one (or retire hurt to the pavillion) ;D

Well, the reason I went with not AFK was:
I looked at the breeze block wall and (incorrectly) saw it as ugly concrete that I associate with SFA and EBD.

It's very disappointing given I travel the (AFK-STP part of the) HS1 line every week.

It's also been a pretty big week for getting things wrong, for that reason, I'm Retired, Out! :)

14 is on the Northern line, I think ... but I can't give the exact station.  Prior to a rebuild, Angel had a narrow platform with tracks on both sides and was one of my least favourite places;  I felt nervous when tubes ran in both sides at the same time.  Didn't realise there were any of these left - or is it a historic picture?

14. It's a current picture taken a few weeks ago. One of two remaining deep level tube locations where a narrow island platform remains.

I, too, felt a little wary using the platform.

Just a thought for these quizzes.  Would it be possible to put the correctly identified locations against the photos at the start of the thread?  When the thread goes into a third or fourth page it gets harder to keep going back and forth to see which ones are left, or in my case, see if you can recognise the place even with the answer!!  It would be especially handy for those looking on the move and without the benefit of a large PC screen.

Incidentally, another flying pest, a seagull, was busy attacking one of the clear polythene bin liners that hang from the wall on the platform. He successfully tore the liner to get at some food within. Not sure the powers that be foresaw this problem when they started installing these new 'bins'. What's wrong with a proper bin? Oh yeah, the remote chance that a bomb will be placed in one.  ::) Meanwhile the lack of proper bins causes a pest problem.

Hmm.  ::)

As an aside: the issue of seagulls versus clear plastic bags without mesh cage protection has been an issue with the Heart of Wessex Community Rail Partnership over the station at Weymouth for some time now.  :P

The station in question isn't near Paddington, it's in South London I believe :)
