Great Western Coffee Shop

The NR journey planner is giving me and hour and 37 minutes to get from Maidenhead to Shepherd's bush for lunchtime ish on April 7th (Easter Saturday) although I can't work out why it's so long.. Any ideas?

On the TFL website the Central line appears to be running.. And even if it wasn't a bus from Ealing Broadway would be quicker than that...

I am getting the following (eg)

10.17 Maidenhead to Paddington  - 11.01 arrival (this trains stops at Ealing Broadway at 10.49)..
Tube from Paddington to Queen's Park
Then Queen's Park to Willesden Junction
Then from there to Shepherd's Bush arriving 11.54..

Strange...I even reckon I could walk from Paddington to Shepherd's Bush in the time it'll take to do all the travelling around on the tube/overground.. ::) ::)

I've just tried Traveline (http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk/) and I get the following:

Maidenhead dep 10:17, Ealing Broadway arr 10:49

Ealing Broadway dep 10:52, Shepherds Bush arr 11:06 (Central Line)

The NR journey planner will assume you want to go to the Shepherd's Bush National Rail station (on the London Overground network), so it will route you the quickest way of getting there, and not to the London Underground station.  Not ideal!

Try the TFL site for Ealing to Shepards Bush.

Yeah I guessed that is what it was doing in the end... Since the stations are right next to each other (if not in the same place) I think a bit of better programming of the NR site might help  ::) ::)
