Quote Former Wales rugby captain Scott Quinnell served drinks and checked the tickets of commuters from Newport when he turned apprentice for the day. Mr Quinnell served customers on the 8.09am service from the city to London Paddington, joining First Great Western apprentice Liam Hutchinson. The former British Lions star got on the train to show the importance of apprenticeships as part of National Apprenticeship Week. Mr Quinnell said: ^Apprenticeships are vital in today^s society and its great to see young men and women grow and flourish in schemes, just like the one Mr Hutchinson is on, across the UK.^ Mr Hutchinson said his apprenticeship had opened his eyes to the range of opportunities around him.
