Title: Are there Any Loos at Stratford Station? Post by: eightf48544 on February 09, 2012, 09:26:27 Went on little Travelcard jsunt yesterday, to catch up on the extension of the ELL to Highbury and the NLL into to Stratford and then the new DLR from from International to Canning Town.
Arrived in the NLL platforms on North side of teh staion to be overwhelmed by Westfields. I knew it was big but..... Found out there is a new regular stopping service up the Lee Valley from Startford. didn't have time to sample it but ehre were a number of people waiting for the train. Wondered throught the long narrow tunnel to the South side to the booking office and then over the Bridge to Cross the old NLL now DLR tracks to get to the Jubilee concorse as I wanted to go to International. At this stage had there been a loo I would have probaly made use of it, but I couldn't see one or any signs to one except for a Radar one. Does anyone know if there are loos on the station? Strikes me that this could be a problem, as I keep beng told lots of people are going to Stratford for some sporting event this Summer. i've put it in the lighter side because you couldn't make it up plus I await all the all the puns. Difficult to describe exactly where, but National Rail 'stations made easy' has the location:

Near enough, yes.Title: Re: Are there Any Loos at Stratford Station? You may not have enough time to do all that.
Don't forget you've got to find the loos in Westfields and I bet they are as far away from the entrance as possible. Can think of a rhyme: Shop after you ..... Title: Re: Are there Any Loos at Stratford Station? Post by: thetrout on February 10, 2012, 01:36:18 There ARE toilets at Stratford Domestic. I can't remember the platform number, but they're on the Southbound Platform Side of the DLR (Towards West Ham). However when I was there on Friday, they were closed due to vandalism (Not surprising for the area).
The are plenty of toilets however in Westfields which is practically right on the main entrance. There are several toilet rooms there, one of which is a very short walk into the shopping centre and is clearly signposted. I reckon even for a slow walker, it would take 3 minutes to get to the karzi's. All the loo's in Westfields are free, very clean and staffed by attendants. I would say it's worth the walk over using the Stratford Station Bogs. Even the Disabled one is closed! Also the Barrier Staff at Stratford would have to let you out if you wanted to use the toilet because the loo's at the station are OOU! A similar situation applies at West Ham, A Station with 8 Platforms and NO toilets! However if you ask the barrier staff, they will let you out and there is an automatic 20p per use toilet just outside the station to the right. It's not an overly pleasant bog though............. Avoid Starbucks which is just inside the Westfields/Stratford Station Entrance if you intend to "buy-a-coffee-and-pee" as they quite often refuse to open the only toilet in there for you unless you have a small child ::) This page is printed from the "Coffee Shop" forum at http://gwr.passenger.chat which is provided by a customer of Great Western Railway.
