Title: Why is it just the railways? Post by: old original on January 11, 2012, 16:51:19 Jumped on the bus this morning to find the fares had gone up from ^2.50 to ^2.70 about 8%, but hang on, at Easter last year it was ^2.30, so that's about 17% in nine months. So should I mount a national campaign, have a fares strike, errr no I'll save my vitriol for the railways' 6%

Bus services are local. By all means have a local bus fare strike. My local bus service hasn't risen in price! Rail fares (while not effecting all services) (maximum) rise are set Nationally. ^1.20/^1.70/^2.20 (depending on journey length) all down to a flat fare ^1. Most welcome, although the service went from 4bph to 2bph. Title: Re: Why is it just the railways?
