This mornings 0845 Pad-Swa was already runnng on one engine only when it reached BPW» (Bristol Parkway - next trains) this am. Left BPW but the remaing power car expired completely between Patchway and Pilning at circa 1020. The following 0915 Pad-Cdf was terminated at BPW and the unit was sent to rescue the errant HST▸ (High Speed Train). The errant HST was towed to BTM▸ (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI)) where it arrived and terminted at 1215.

Chaos on Pompey/Weymouth - Cardiffs as a consequence as there were mostly ATW▸ (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC▸ (Train Operating Company))) crews in Bristol Tm at the time so no route
knowledge via Charfield.
