This mornings 0845 Pad-Swa was already runnng on one engine only when it reached BPW» (Bristol Parkway - next trains) this am. Left BPW but the remaing power car expired completely between Patchway and Pilning at circa 1020. The following 0915 Pad-Cdf was terminated at BPW and the unit was sent to rescue the errant HST (High Speed Train). The errant HST was towed to BTM (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI)) where it arrived and terminted at 1215.

Chaos on Pompey/Weymouth - Cardiffs as a consequence as there were mostly ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) crews in Bristol Tm at the time so no route
knowledge via Charfield.
