[I think there may be another thread on this topic elsewhere, but I can't find it - feel free to move this Chris from Nailsea!]

A while back, I wrote a post for Bristol Rail Campaign. I was humming and hahing as to what to use for the Featured Image - the picture that goes above the post - when my hosting software helpfully suggested that it could generate one, based on what I had written. Here it is:



Strangely interesting, and interestingly strange.

I've attached another one, which is a thumbnail from YouTube. These trains are definitely in trouble, and if I was the bloke in hi-viz I think I'd be running the other way!

Hope its a long time before AI is let anywhere near safety-critical matters on railways.

I asked one AI entity whether or not two trains could pass at Melksham? The answer, words to the effect:

You should be and it’s only going to get better at making things look and sound real. Very concerning.
